MM2025 Scholarships

To support the development of diverse voices within the profession, AdPha is pleased to offer three exclusive travel grants to support attendance at Medicines Management 2025 (MM2025) 27-29 November.  

These scholarships provide a unique opportunity for dedicated pharmacists or technicians to join Australia’s largest scientific pharmacy conference, enriching their knowledge, expanding their professional networks, and contributing to the future of pharmacy practice. 

The scholarships are:

The AdPha MM2025 First Nations Practitioner Scholarship for one current AdPha member who identifies as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.

The AdPha MM2025 Rural and Remote Scholarship for one current AdPha member living and working in a rural or remote area of Australia (Modified Monash Model (MM) category 4 or higher).

The AdPha MM2025 Sustainability Scholarship for one current AdPha member who has demonstrated excellent and proactive dedication to local action to advance sustainability awareness, advocacy and/or initiatives.

The ANZCAP MM2025 Early Career Pharmacist Scholarship, part of the ANZCAP Elevate program of annual benefits, for one current AdPha member with an active 2025/26 ANZCAP Pharmacist Resident or Pharmacist Registrar recognition.

Scholarship eligibility

To be eligible for the AdPha MM2025 First Nations Practitioner Scholarship, applicants must: 

  • Be a current financial pharmacist or technician member of Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha) at time of application and MM2025 attendance (student and provisional pharmacist AdPha members and NZHPA Affiliate members are ineligible).
  • Identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person
  • Describe in statement – maximum of 500 words – what they hope to gain from attending MM2025 and how this opportunity would fit into their professional aspirations. 
  • Be able to travel to and attend Medicines Management 2025 in Melbourne, in person. 
  • Not have received any other scholarship or grant related to travel or attendance at Medicines Management 2025.  
  • Agree to participate in promotional activities or media related to the scholarship and MM2025, including providing a short summary or testimonial, and photograph, if requested. 
     


To be eligible for the AdPha MM2025 Rural and Remote Scholarship, applicants must: 

  • Be a current financial pharmacist or technician member of Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha) at time of application and MM2025 attendance (student and provisional pharmacist AdPha members and NZHPA Affiliate members are ineligible).
  • Currently live and work in a rural or remote area of Australia, classified as Modified Monash Model (MM) category 4, 5, 6, or 7. 
  • Describe in statement – maximum of 500 words – their past and future dedication to advancing pharmacy practice within rural or remote communities, including leadership of, or involvement in relevant projects, as appropriate. 
  • Be able to travel to and attend Medicines Management 2025 in Melbourne, in person. 
  • Not have received any other scholarship or grant related to travel or attendance at Medicines Management 2025.  
  • Agree to participate in promotional activities or media related to the scholarship and MM2025, including providing a short summary or testimonial, and photograph, if requested. 
     


To be eligible for the AdPha MM2025 Sustainability Scholarship, applicants must: 

  • Be a current financial pharmacist or technician member of Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha), or NZHPA Affiliate member, at time of application and MM2025 attendance (student and provisional pharmacist members are ineligible). 
  • Describe in statement – maximum of 500 words – their past and future dedication to sustainability initiatives within pharmacy practice and/or their workplace, including leadership of, or involvement in sustainability advocacy, projects, or research, as appropriate. 
  • Agree to participate in promotional activities or media related to the scholarship and MM2025, including providing a short summary or testimonial, and photograph, if requested. 
     


To be eligible for the ANZCAP MM2025 Early Career Pharmacist Scholarship, applicants must: 

  • Be a current financial pharmacist member of Advanced Pharmacy Australia, (AdPha), or NZHPA Affiliate member, at time of application and MM2025 attendance (student and provisional pharmacist members are ineligible). 
  • Have an active recognition (2025-26) through the Australian and New Zealand College of Advanced Pharmacy (ANZCAP) at Pharmacist Resident (ANZCAP-Res.) or Pharmacist Registrar (ANZCAP-Reg.) level. 
  • Describe in statement – maximum of 500 words – what ANZCAP means to them and their future career as a pharmacist, including how they are demonstrating their commitment to advancing their practice using the ANZCAP platform and tools. 
  • Agree to participate in promotional activities or media related to the scholarship and MM2025, including providing a short summary or testimonial, and photograph, if requested. 


Applicants for any of the three scholarships above may attach up to two documents (file type) to support their submission. 


Additional terms and conditions

  • Applicants must be able to travel to and attend Medicines Management 2025 in Melbourne, 27 –29 November, in person, and must not have received any other scholarship or grant related to travel or attendance at Medicines Management 2025.  
  • Applicants must complete all required fields of a webform by the specified deadline to be eligible for the corresponding scholarship. 
  • One financial member may apply for more than one scholarship. 
  • If successful, recipients must complete an official AdPha form for reimbursement to the maximum value of $1,500 (incl. GST) that includes confirmation of their MM2025 registration and/or associated travel and accommodation costs.  
  • Deadline for completion of the AdPha reimbursement form will depend on application of each recipient’s funds toward registration and/or associated travel and accommodation. 
  • Following attendance at MM2025, recipients must provide a short summary of their experience (up to 200 words), and 1-3 photos of them at the conference to the AdPha Strategic Communications team. 
  • The scholarship reimbursement is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for alternative benefits. 
  • AdPha reserves the right to verify eligibility and may request documentation to confirm criteria have been met.
