Terms and Conditions

  1. About AdPha Connect

AdPha Connect is a professional networking platform available exclusively to current members of Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha). It enables members to build professional relationships, communicate directly and find mentoring opportunities within the pharmacy profession.
 

  1. Eligibility

    2.1  Access to AdPha Connect is available only to current, active AdPha members. If your membership expires or is cancelled, your access to AdPha Connect will be suspended until your membership is renewed
    2.2  By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you confirm that you are a current AdPha member and that the information you provide in your profile is accurate and up to date.
     
  2. Your Account and Profile

    3.1  To participate in AdPha Connect you must opt in and complete the minimum required profile information. Your profile will not be visible to other members until you have opted in and published your profile.
    3.2  You are responsible for ensuring the information displayed on your profile is accurate, professional, and appropriate for a professional networking environment.
    3.3  Some of your profile information is sourced from your AdPha membership record. If you need to correct your details, you must do so via your current member dashboard at https://www.adpha.au/dashboard or by contacting the AdPha admin team. In a future release, direct editing within AdPha Connect will be available.

  1. Privacy and Visibility

    4.1  You are in control of the visibility to other members of many of the profile fields. You can show or hide fields at any time from your profile settings.
    4.2  By opting in to AdPha Connect, you agree that the profile information you have chosen to make visible will be accessible to all other opted-in AdPha members.
    4.3  AdPha collects and stores your activity data in AdPha Connect, including profile interactions, connection history, and messaging metadata (not message content) for platform management, reporting, and member 360 purposes. This is handled in accordance with AdPha's Privacy Policy.
    4.4  AdPha does not sell your personal information to third parties.
    4.5  Message content exchanged between members via AdPha Connect Direct Messaging is private. AdPha administrators do not access message content except where a message has been reported by a member as being in breach of these Terms and Conditions or the Respect and Safety Guidelines, in which case the content may be reviewed for moderation purposes.

  1. Mentoring

    5.1  AdPha Connect supports both informal professional networking and structured mentoring relationships. Participation in mentoring is entirely voluntary.
    5.2  If you choose to indicate that you are open to mentoring as a Mentor, Mentee, or both, this will be displayed as a badge on your profile visible to other members.
    5.3  AdPha does not facilitate, manage, or take responsibility for the outcomes of mentoring relationships established through AdPha Connect. Mentoring arrangements are entered into at the discretion of the members involved.

  1. Direct Messaging

    6.1  Direct messaging within AdPha Connect is available between members who have an active connection.
    6.2  You are responsible for the content of messages you send. Messages must comply with these Terms and Conditions and the Respect and Safety Guidelines at all times.
    6.3  You must not use Direct Messaging to send unsolicited commercial communications, spam, or any content that is harmful, offensive, or in breach of applicable law.
    6.4  Metadata relating to your messaging activity (including dates of messages and thread counts, but not message content) is recorded in your member activity log for platform management and reporting purposes.

  1. Connections and Disconnections

    7.1  You may send connection requests to any member with a published profile on AdPha Connect. The recipient has the right to accept or decline any request.
    7.2  You may disconnect from a connection at any time. Message history between you and the disconnected member is retained in read-only format following disconnection.
    7.3  You may pause your participation in AdPha Connect at any time. During a pause, your profile remains visible to other members but a notice is displayed indicating you are temporarily unavailable.
    7.4  You may unpublish your AdPha Connect profile at any time. Your profile will no longer be visible to other members, but your profile and data will be securely retained, ready for if you choose to opt back in.

  1. Acceptable Use

    8.1  You agree to use AdPha Connect only for lawful, professional, and respectful purposes consistent with AdPha's values and the Respect and Safety Guidelines.
    8.2  You must not use AdPha Connect to:
  • Harass, threaten, or intimidate any other member
  • Share false, misleading, or defamatory information about another person
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
  • Distribute harmful software, malicious links, or unsolicited commercial content
  • Solicit personal or financial information from other members
  • Engage in any activity that breaches Australian or New Zealand law
  1. Moderation and Enforcement

    9.1  AdPha reserves the right to moderate content reported by members as being in breach of these Terms and Conditions or the Respect and Safety Guidelines.
    9.2  AdPha may take any of the following actions in response to a breach, at its discretion:
  • issue a warning to the member
  • remove content that breaches these Terms
  • temporarily suspend the member's AdPha Connect access
  • permanently deactivate the member's AdPha Connect profile
  • refer the matter to AdPha's membership governance processes where appropriate

9.3  AdPha will endeavour to notify the affected member of any moderation action taken, subject to the nature and severity of the breach.
 

  1. Intellectual Property

    10.1  Content you post or share within AdPha Connect, including profile information, messages, and attachments, remains your intellectual property. By posting content you grant AdPha a limited licence to store and display that content within the platform for the purposes of providing the AdPha Connect service.
    10.2  The AdPha Connect platform, including its design, functionality, and underlying technology, is the intellectual property of AdPha and its development partners. You must not reproduce, copy, or distribute any part of the platform without written permission from AdPha.

     
  2. Limitation of Liability

    11.1  AdPha provides AdPha Connect as a professional networking service for its members. AdPha does not guarantee the accuracy of member-provided profile information, the outcomes of connections or mentoring relationships, or the continuous uninterrupted availability of the platform.
    11.2  To the extent permitted by law, AdPha is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of AdPha Connect, including any loss arising from reliance on information provided by another member.
     
  3. Changes to These Terms

    12.1  AdPha may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. You will be notified of any material changes and will be asked to review and re-accept the updated terms before continuing to use AdPha Connect.
    12.2  Continued use of AdPha Connect following acceptance of updated terms constitutes your agreement to the revised terms.
