Policy submissions

Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha) - formerly known as SHPA - is the peak body committed to enriching patient care by extending advanced pharmacy from hospitals to everywhere medicines are needed.

Our members have extensive experience in specialty clinical areas such as oncology, infectious diseases, mental health, emergency, paediatrics and aged care, and provide cognitive pharmacy services to support the quality use of medicines. AdPha is committed to providing a platform for leading clinicians in specialty practice areas to network, engage and collaborate through AdPha’s Specialty Practice, which has a leading role in providing medicines expertise to AdPha and other stakeholders.

Reflecting our members’ diverse and innovative roles, AdPha also has an expert understanding of the multiple funding and regulatory frameworks with respect to medicines and is well suited to and welcomes the opportunity to provide high quality advice to governments and stakeholders.

Policy submissions

AdPha develops submissions to government and stakeholder consultations which express AdPha’s positions on important issues that have the potential to impact medicines management, access to medicines and the wellbeing of Australian consumers.
