

This seminar will be delivered by a combination of a self-paced learning package (available from late April), comprising approximately 4hrs of learning materials, followed by a live seminar on Saturday 3 June.

The focus of the live seminar is interactive learning through two workshop sessions and one clinical case session and simulation.
Critical appraisal workshop: This workshop will facilitate critical appraisal of evidence with a geriatric medicine lens. Attendees will work through key landmark trials to draw out key learning and practice points to apply to different settings and patient scenarios.
Cognitive assessments and discharge planning workshop: This workshop will provide an opportunity to apply cognitive assessment tools and medication management considerations (DAA, self-administration of medication trials etc) in complex discharge planning scenarios.
Changed behaviours clinical case session and simulation: This clinical case session will explore the pharmacological management of changed behaviours in dementia and provide an opportunity to apply learnings in simulation scenarios
This activity has been accredited for 4.25 hours of Group-1 CPD and 3.75 hours of Group-2 CPD (for a total of 11.75 CPD credits), suitable for inclusion in an individual pharmacist’s CPD plan.
