Dr Shayne Camilleri, Infectious Diseases and General Medicine Physician, Royal Darwin Hospital, NT
Shayne Camilleri is an infectious diseases and general medicine physician with interests in antimicrobial stewardship (AMS), infections in critical care, and Indigenous and remote health. He works in Darwin as an AMS clinician and is actively involved in research focused on optimising the design and implementation of AMS programs.
Danny Tsai, Acting Director of Clinical Research, Alice Springs Hospital, NT; Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Remote Health, Flinders University, SA
Dr Danny Tsai is the Acting Director of Clinical Research at Alice Springs Hospital (ASH) and a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Remote Health at Flinders University. He is the inaugural Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacist at ASH and lead the only research group in Australia to have successfully developed evidence-based dosing algorithms for antibiotics in septic Aboriginal patients, critical to addressing risk factors associated with changes in patient’s physiological changes in critical illness. Upon observing exceptionally high rates of AMR in Central Australia, CI Tsai initiated research to tackle this issue. This research has since answered a few important questions on the epidemiology of resistant isolates in Central Australia, their genomics and risk factors.

Dr Ivanka Koeper, Associate Director of Pharmacy, Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network, SA Health, Government of South Australia
I was trained as a pharmacist in the Netherlands and relocated to Australia in 2000 to complete a PhD. Since this time, I have worked in various clinical roles with a specific interest in geriatric medicine and deprescribing. For the last 8 years, I have worked in leadership positions across metropolitan South Australia and more recently in Regional South Australia where I am the Associate Director of Pharmacy for the Flinders Upper North Local Health Network
This activity has been accredited for 0.75 hours of Group-1 CPD (or 0.75 CPD credits), suitable for inclusion in an individual pharmacist’s CPD plan.
The accreditation number is S2025/75
The program addresses pharmacist competency standards, including:
- Standard 1.3.1 Comply with statute law, guidelines, codes and standards
- Standard 3.1.2 Assess medication management practices and needs
- Standard 3.2.3 Dispense medicines (including compounded medicines) in consultation with the patient and/or prescriber
- Standard 3.3.1 Undertake a clinical review
- Standard 3.3.2 Apply clinical review findings to improve health outcomes

Cancellation policy
- Membership rate is only applicable if you are a member at the time of the seminar. Should your membership lapse, or if you resign you will be invoiced for the difference in registration.
- Cancellations must be made in writing.
- Cancellations received before 6 weeks prior to the event will receive a full refund. Non-members will be charged a $50 handling fee.
- Cancellations received between 6 weeks and 1 week prior to the event will receive a 50% refund of the registration fee.
- Cancellations received less than a week prior to the event will NOT be refunded.
- AdPha reserve the right to cancel a seminar or make changes to the program
- If AdPha cancels or defers the event you will receive 100% of the registration fee but AdPha bears no responsibility for any costs incurred (such as flights, accommodation, travel or expenses) or loss of income.
- It is recommended that participants obtain adequate insurance cover for travel and accommodation.
- Transfer of registration – as an alternative to cancellation your registration may be transferred to another member of your organisation or another event (if the chosen seminar is a higher cost you will be subject to further charges). A request MUST be made in writing to the Federal Secretariat prior to the event.
- If you are unable to attend AdPha policy is that handouts can not be made available as ‘stand alone’ materials

Catering/Dietary requirements

- Whilst every care is taken to notify venues of dietary requirements, AdPha cannot guarantee completely allergy free meals, nor be held responsible for any adverse reaction. Any registrant who has notified AdPha of a dietary requirement should make themselves known to the seminar coordinator and/or venue staff upon their arrival.
- Some dietary requirements such as Kosher meals may incur an additional cost which is the responsilbility of the delegate. AdPha will notify you in advance.
Recording/Filming
- Recording and/or filming is not permitted by registrants. Please note this event may be recorded for the AdPha website and/or photos may be taken for use in AdPha resources and publications.
- Registrants are not permitted to record or film any part of AdPha events in any format including audio recording or video recording or through use of mobile devices for filming
Registration
- Numbers are capped so book early to avoid disappointment. Please note the only way to guarantee a space is to register online. Please ensure you register prior to booking your flights and accommodation.
- If you do not receive a confirmation email then you are not registered for the event and will not be able to be accommodated on the day of the event. If you are following up on registration please ensure you contact the Federal Secretariat at least a week prior to the event.
