The Extension Seminar in Laboratory Tests will prepare pharmacists to interpret common laboratory tests to guide recommendations around pharmacological therapy in hospitalised patients with common medical conditions. It will focus on interpretation, application, and limitations of laboratory tests across the areas of cardiology, liver disease, kidney disease, haematology (coagulation), and infectious diseases. Attendees will be asked to work through interactive case-based scenarios which require interpretation of laboratory tests in order to make common clinical decisions.
This seminar will be delivered by a combination of a self-paced learning package available from Friday 29 January 2027 and a live virtual seminar on Saturday 13 March 2027.
The self-paced learning package must be completed prior to attendance at the live virtual seminar.
