New MM2025 Scholarships to support diversity across profession
Applications are now open for four new travel scholarships to attend Medicines Management 2025.
Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha) is proud to announce four exclusive travel scholarships to support attendance at Medicines Management 2025 (MM2025)— Australia’s largest annual scientific pharmacy conference—taking place in Melbourne from 27–29 November 2025.
Dr Kate O’Hara FANZCAP (Neonatol., Paeds), AdPha Vice President and Chair of the ANZCAP Advisory Board says the new scholarships reflect the strategic pillars of Yindayamarra 2030, the organisation’s six-year vision for hospital and advanced pharmacy.
‘Connectivity and opportunity is central to the experience of AdPha membership, and the AdPha MM2025 Rural and Remote Scholarship will help include another voice from outside our cities at Australia’s largest scientific pharmacy conference.
‘The climate crisis is a health crisis, and the AdPha MM2025 Sustainability Scholarship complements a packed conference program that views “greener” pharmacy practice as integral to the future of a healthy society.
‘And we are pleased to open applications for the ANZCAP MM2025 Early Career Pharmacist Scholarship through the ANZCAP Elevate annual benefits program – only AdPha members with active postnominals at Registrar or Resident level are eligible for this travel grant.
‘Most importantly, underpinning all activity, is progression through Reconciliation Action Plans to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We are pleased to open applications for the AdPha MM2025 First Nations Practitioner Scholarship for one current AdPha member who identifies as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, as part of these opportunities.'
AdPha Chief Executive Kristin Michaels FAICD says the scholarships aim to foster inclusion and amplify emerging and underrepresented voices within advanced pharmacy.
‘We’re committed to investing in the next generation of pharmacy leaders and innovators.
‘By attending Australia’s largest scientific pharmacy conference, recipients will gain valuable insight into developments in hospital pharmacy, aged care, transitions of care and general practice, and will have the chance to collaborate with leading practitioners and peers from across Australia.
‘We want to give more emerging and leading practitioners a chance to experience the magic and energy of Medicines Management - the highlight of the year for many of our AdPha pharmily.’
The four MM2025 scholarships available are:
- The AdPha MM2025 First Nations Practitioner Scholarship will support one current AdPha member who identifies as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
