MM2026 Scholarships open, Call for Abstracts closing soon

Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha) has announced scholarships are now open supporting registration to this year’s landmark 50th national conference, Medicines Management 2026 (MM2026), with two weeks remaining until the Call for Abstracts closes at 11.59pm AEST, Tuesday 9 June.

Introduced last year, the scholarships reflect the strategic pillars of AdPha’s Yindyamarra 2030, the organisation’s six-year vision for hospital and advanced pharmacy.

MM2025 First Nations Scholarship recipient Melanie Burgess FANZCAP (Cardiol.) said the magic of attending Medicines Management is something every pharmacist must experience.

‘The MM2025 scientific program was exceptional, and the atmosphere felt forward-thinking, collaborative, and full of purpose.

‘I was inspired and energised by the innovation happening across Australian hospital pharmacy - from novel stewardship models to care, transitions of care priorities, technician workforce development and emerging research to support the growth of pharmacy services.

‘If you’ve never experienced Medicines Management before, I encourage you to put your hand up for a scholarship and give it a go. It’s a unique opportunity to connect, learn and be part of the conversations shaping the future of our profession.’

The opportunity to present work at AdPha’s landmark 50th event is closing soon, with abstract submissions due in just two weeks. Abstracts are invited in three categories:

  • Original research
  • Pharmacy practice
  • Case reports

MM2026 Scientific Program Committee Chair Stephen Louey FANZCAP (EmergMed) said that if ever there was a Medicines Management to present your work, this is the one.

‘Every Medicines Management is special, but this is a “golden” year.

‘MM2026 marks 50 years of bringing together leaders, researchers, practitioners and pharmacy technicians from across Australia and beyond, making it a rare opportunity to showcase your work and contribute to conversations shaping the future of pharmacy under the theme Limitless.

‘I encourage everyone not to miss the chance to be part of this landmark event.’
