Four months to MM2025 as ‘outstanding’ abstracts confirmed
The successful scientific abstracts span the country and practice areas ahead of AdPha’s blockbuster conference in November
The countdown to Medicines Management 2025 (MM2025) kicked up a gear today as confirmation of successful scientific abstracts begun to roll out across the country and internationally, with four months until Australia’s largest scientific pharmacy conference begins in Melbourne.
Ella Raguz FANZCAP (Edu., MedSafety), Chair of the MM2025 Scientific Program Committee, says this year saw a very strong submission season, paving the way for an expansive and innovative conference program over 27-29 November at the Melbourne Conference and Exhibition Centre.
'We were blown away by the outstanding calibre of abstracts this year, and the Scientific Program Committee were excited to see innovation impacting all areas of practice shown in all three categories: research, case studies and pharmacy practice.
‘Strong emerging themes include women’s health, aged care, practice evolution and practice expansion, and we’re also working toward conference streams that focus on consumers, medication access, sustainability and our growing technician workforce.
‘With 79 oral presentations and more than 360 posters, there will be something for everyone – make sure you bookmark the dynamic MM2025 program as it continues to fill over August and our conference streams take shape.’
AdPha Vice President Dr Kate O’Hara FANZCAP (Neonatol., Paeds) says AdPha’s 49th national conference will shine a spotlight on pharmacy practice, across Australian hospitals and adjacent care settings.
‘Our theme of “Pharmacy in motion” captures the magic and momentum as new ideas turn into new partnerships and projects. We can’t wait for this energy to come alive in Melbourne, home to international hubs of health care and innovation.
‘Whether it’s your first or fifteenth Medicines Management, this is where it all happens, and there's always something new.’
