About Helen Mentha

Helen Mentha is a registered clinical psychologist and member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT Inc). She worked for many years in the drug and alcohol field as a counsellor, dual diagnosis senior clinician, manager and supervisor.
Initially trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Helen has also specialised in Motivational Interviewing, completing annual training each year overseas with MI experts since 2007.
She is committed to ethical, respectful person-centred care and brings this ethos to her clinical and supervision practice, training and consultation. She is a highly experienced and sought after facilitator with a reputation for accessible, engaging, well-informed and practical training in a positive learning environment.
She has trained professionals from a diverse range of backgrounds and areas of focus, including drug and alcohol, mental health, medical and nursing, allied health, community welfare, aged care, forensic, education and corporate settings. She has provided training across Australia and in China and has collaborated with colleagues from Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the United States and China to provide training and program development.

Helen Lowy
Helen Lowy is a pharmacist, counsellor, thought leader and speaker with over twenty years of experience working in healthcare in public, private and government agencies, in both the UK and Australia. Over the past three years Helen has drawn upon cutting-edge neuroscience, evidence-based psychotherapy and on-the-ground insights, from over 1000 health care professionals, to produce presentations and workshops that inspire leaders to cultivate psychologically safe workplaces where humans can thrive.
Misha Devchand
Misha Devchand is a senior Infectious Diseases/Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) Pharmacist at Austin Health. In addition, she is the project lead of “Check Again”, a Safer Care Victoria state-wide initiative, to improve penicillin allergy assessment and delabelling.
Misha has a Graduate Certificate of Pharmacy Practice and completed a Master of Clinical Pharmacy in 2019. She is currently undertaking the Improvement Advisor course with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
Misha has extensive experience in designing and implementing new AMS services and an interest in quality improvement and research.

On weekdays between 7:30am and 6:30pm, up to 11-hour metre parking is available on The Avenue (park side) and Walker Street at $0.80 per hour. Parking is available at the Zoo car park located closest to The Avenue, situated on Elliot Avenue, which is only a short walk from the Conference Centre.
