Poppy graduated and started her career in the UK. She has now been working in the Australian hospital pharmacy setting for 10 years. Her roles in this time have included Senior Operational Pharmacist, and Lead Pharmacist for COVID vaccination clinics/program.
In her current role, Poppy is responsible for overseeing, strategizing and identifying opportunities for the efficient use of medicines at our hospital. This includes management of the formulary, assessment of Individual Patient Use applications, contract development and involvement in procurement activities.
Management of the supply chain has become an increasingly important responsibility in this role. Monitoring for, responding to and managing critical medication shortages has become a key responsibility for Poppy in the past few years.
