AdPha showcases leadership in lifelong learning at international pharmacy conference
AdPha proudly represented Australia’s hospital pharmacy sector at the Life Long Learning in Pharmacy (LLLP) Conference 2025, held in Sydney from 7 - 8 July.
As a Silver Sponsor of this prestigious international event, AdPha highlighted its leadership in education and professional development, contributing eight accepted abstracts (including five presentations and three posters) to the official program.
AdPha representatives Kylee Haywood, Sally Ridgers, Suzanne Newman, Yee Mellor, Julia Hruz and Erica Marsom joined together with pharmacy professionals, educators, researchers, technicians, regulators and policymakers from across the globe to explore the future of pharmacy education and workforce development. The conference focused on fostering innovation, knowledge-sharing and collaboration - goals that strongly align with AdPha’s mission - and presented an ideal platform to share our work and learn from international peers.
Presentations spotlighted key AdPha initiatives:
- ANZCAP – Australia’s first national recognition framework for advanced pharmacy practice, supporting pharmacists to document and be recognised.
- Resident and Registrar Training Programs – Building capability and confidence in early-career and specialist pharmacists.
- Specialty Practice Program – Providing structured pathways to leadership, expertise and influence.
- Standards of Practice – Setting benchmarks for consistent, high-quality care across clinical specialties.
- Virtual learning – Exploring the role of flexible, digital-first education.
