

MedsAware Deprescribing Action Week raises awareness around polypharmacy and deprescribing. In 2025, MedsAware turns its attention towards sustainability highlighting the benefits of deprescribing that can be felt all around us – for patient and planet.
This webinar will examine the link between deprescribing and the environmental impact of medicines, highlighting the benefits of deprescribing – for people and the planet. Dr Lisa Kouladjian O’Donnell and Dr Aili Langford will demonatrate how deprescribing can simultaneously enhance patient health outcomes and reduce the environmental footprint of medicines and healthcare systems. This MedsAware: Deprescribing Action Week join Lisa and Aili as they share findings from their research, plus strategies and conversation starters for pharmacists and healthcare professionals with each other and patients, about sustainability and deprescribing.
