When trust exists in a workplace is an environment where open dialogue, shared responsibilities, and teamwork flourish. This workshop will explore trust and connection in the workplace to enhance interpersonal skills needed to establish deep bonds of trust, ensuring that every idea is valued, every task is handled collaboratively, and collective effort supports patient care and fosters a thriving workplace.
Learning Objectives
In this workshop we will:
Define trust and recognise the role of vulnerability in building trust.
Explore the components of trust.
Discuss strategies to establish and maintain trust in pharmacy practice.
Engage in exercises to apply trust-building principles in real-world scenarios.

Liza Seubert, BPharm, PHD, SFHEA, FPS, Head of Pharmacy at UWA, The University of Western Australia.
Liza has extensive experience in many areas of pharmacy practice and is currently the Head of Pharmacy at UWA. Her research began with exploring ways to enhance pharmacist – patient interactions and has developed into a keen interest in the non-technical skills that help pharmacists thrive in challenging healthcare settings. She has developed and embedded the Courage and Connection curriculum, based on the research of Prof Brené Brown, into the UWA Master of Pharmacy course, which is being adopted in other university curricula.
