A Christmas message from SHPA's Chief Executive

As we wind down our activities for 2023, we’re taking the time to look back at what has been a tremendous year for SHPA.

From the successful launch of the Australian and New Zealand College of Advanced Pharmacy (ANZCAP) to our stellar Medicines Management 2023 (MM2023) conference in Cairns; from the unveiling of our Transformation 2024 agenda to our advocacy achieving change and so much more, it has truly been a stellar year for both SHPA and pharmacy in Australia at large.

These landmark achievements and SHPA’s continued advancement of pharmacy would not be possible without the contributions of you: our members.

This year, it’s been phenomenal to witness our members step up in so many ways: leading the charge in advocacy for pharmacists’ roles in causes as diverse as ADHD treatment and reproductive health; being awarded with deserved recognition for leadership and excellence in pharmacy practice; producing groundbreaking research; contributing to pharmacy events and education across the board; and, of course, advancing the profession one day at a time within each of your invaluable roles. 

As we take a moment to pause between a packed 2023 and an even bigger 2024 to come, we thank you for all that you’ve done in contributing to our profession this year. Now is the ideal time for a break, and we trust that your holiday season will allow you to do just that! We wish you a wonderful end of year full of time with loved ones, joy and rest. See you in the New Year!
